The-Dream has revealed that he would like his latest album, Love King, to be his last.
In an interview with MTV News, the Atlanta native said, “I really would like it to be the last one if I could — in a perfect world.”
The-Dream, who first hinted about his intention to quit singing at the end of last year, knows that what he wants may not actually happen.
“In the back of my mind, I’m thinking a fighter fights,” he said. “You don’t retire on top. [Michael] Jordan didn’t retire on top. I’m not saying I’m the best [like him], but I’m the best at what I can do. And I can stop now and say, ‘This album is pretty good.’”
The-Dream, who is married to R&B/pop singer Christina Milian, recently welcomed his first daughter, Violet, on February 26.

How is Dream the best at singing? Producer yes a very talented Producer and songwriter, but singer? I think he should stick to making hits for other people he’s good at that!

This is not “news”…The Dream has said “Love King” will be his last album last Summer on his Myspace and his Twitter. Whoever wrote that article is LATE!!! NEXT!!!

I hope he doesn’t quit! I love his music!! Also he doesn’t sing about cheating or doing any women wrong!! He sings about love & thats why I love him! such a gentleman!

he never said her was the best singer, he said he’s the best at what “he does”! & you cant argue w. that cause he really is. People need to start realizing being a artist isnt about being the best vocalist. his creativity level is sooo hiigh!!

it’s natural for a father to want to spend time with his children particularly when their newborn or little so for dream to say this isn’t out of left field if he didn’t that would set off the alarm bells other celeb moms and dads have later admitted guilt because career obligations caused them to leave their children with a nanny to leave and film a tv show/movie
